COVERGLOBE’S DATA PROTECTION AND PRIVACY POLICY

When and if applicable, CoverGlobe follows strictly the provisions for the protection of privacy contained in the Swiss Data Protection Law.

 

By registering to CoverGlobe’s Services, Advertisers and Players (as defined in Coverglobe’s respective Terms and Conditions for Advertises, and Terms and Conditions for Players) agree to be bound by this Policy, when and if applicable.

 

I. DATA COLLECTION AND PROCESSING

CoverGlobe will require some personal data during the registration process on its websites and passively collects data via the use of cookies and logs (“Personal Data”.)

 

Personal Data will be used for CoverGlobe’s business purposes only.

 

By sending Personal Data to CoverGlobe, Advertisers and Players agree that CoverGlobe can process them for the purposes they provided them.

 

CoverGlobe will keep and use Personal Data (and any other information which it may hold about them from time to time) now and in the future (i) to provide them with the agreed services they requested, (ii) to provide them with information on products and services which may be of interest to them and (iii) for the purposes of conducting market research.

 

II. SHARING OF PERSONAL DATA

CoverGlobe will not share Personal Data except with Affiliates in the following cases:

 

We may disclose your Personal Data information to other CoverGlobe affiliates worldwide that agree to treat it in accordance with this Policy. In addition, we may disclose your Personal Data to third parties, but only to

  • contractors we use to support our business (e.g. fulfilment services, technical support, delivery services, and financial institutions), in which case we will require such third parties to agree to treat it in accordance with this Privacy Policy;
  • in connection with the sale, assignment, or other transfer of the business of this site to which the information relates, in which case we will require any such buyer to agree to treat it in accordance with this Policy; or
  • where required by applicable laws, court orders, or government regulations. In addition, we will make full use of all information acquired through this site that is not in personally identifiable form.

 

By agreeing to this Policy, Advertisers and Players understand that the country of the recipient of the transferred Personal Data may not provide a similar, comparable or adequate level of data protection to the one provided by the Swiss Data Protection Law or the Convention for the Protection of Individuals with regard to Automatic Processing of Personal Data done at Strasbourg on January 28, 1981, as they may be amended from time to time.

 

III. CHILDREN UNDER THIRTEEN

CoverGlobe must obtain parental consent for Players under the age of 13 (“Youth Players”) to register to the website and to provide Personal Data.

 

During the sign-up process, Youth Players are asked to provide an email address for a parents or guardian. CoverGlobe will then send the parent or guardian an email and they will have 48 hours to agree or refuse to allow the child to register with the website.

 

If we do not hear back from the parent, CoverGlobe assumes it is acceptable for the Youth Player to be registered and use the website. If a parent refuses permission, CoverGlobe deletes the Youth Player’s information from our records.

 

Once parental consent is obtained, CoverGlobe collects Personal Data from Youth Players for the same purposes and by the same means as all other Players.

 

At any time, parents can refuse to permit us to collect further Personal Data from their child and can request that any Personal Data CoverGlobe has collected be deleted from our records.

 

A parent can access, change, or delete his or her child’s personal information by logging on to the Youth Player’s account on the website. The parent will need to have their child’s member name and password. There are instructions on the site explaining how to recover a password if the Youth Player has forgotten it.

 

A parent can contact CoverGlobe to access, change, or delete the Personal Data that CoverGlobe has collected from their child by sending an email to support@coverglobe.com. Please include the Youth Player’s member name and the parent's email address in the e-mail so that CoverGlobe can better assist with the inquiry or request.

 

CoverGlobe will notify Youth Player’s parents if this policy changes.

IV. ACCESS TO PERSONAL DATA

In accordance with the Swiss Data Protection Law, Advertisers and Players may apply to see what Personal Data CoverGlobe holds in respect of them.

V. REMOVAL OF PERSONAL DATA

 

Advertisers and Players may request the removal of their Personal Data.

 

Please send an email to support@coverglobe.com if you wish to request the removal of your Personal Data. CoverGlobe then undertakes to remove said Personal Data with immediate effect and to not keep and/or use them anymore for any purposes.

 

VI. DATA STORAGE

CoverGlobe will store Personal Data only for as long as required to fulfil the purpose for which they provided their Personal Data. 

 

VII. SECURITY AND CONFIDENTIALITY

CoverGlobe will take all technical and organizational security measures to ensure Personal Data is kept securely. Safety measures are in place and will continue to be improved to safeguard the privacy.
